| August 2003 Leading value snack manufacturer Red Mill is giving retailers a double whammy by launching an exciting new range of 15p price-marked childrens’ snacks in a unique new case which doubles-up as an innovative vertical product display unit! Aimed at the 8-12 age group; salt and vinegar flavour Skele’s Skulls, curry flavour Drac’s Fangs, and BBQ flavour Frank’s Ribs, are the first price-marked 15p kids snack range to hit the market, and will offer retailers and consumers a natural trade up from 10p price-marked packs. The range’s case incorporates a unique pull-out ‘drawbridge’ design giving customers easy access to the product, as well as allowing the retailer to clearly see the amount of stock left in each case. A major player in the childrens’ snacking market, Red Mill already produces a highly successful range which includes 10p kids snacks, 10p and 20p Transform-A-Snack and Thingamejigs. “Red Mill has extensive experience in this sector and our new 15p range offers an excellent opportunity for retailers, as well as giving an even greater selection of great tasting, high value snacks to the consumer,” says Red Mill managing director Garry Nield. “The fun pack designs and affordable pocket-money price give the range instant kid-appeal, whilst our brand new curry flavour is a direct result of us asking young customers what flavour snacks they would like to eat.” The snacks’ ‘spooky’ themes and eye-catching pack designs make them ideal for use in retailers’ seasonal promotions The 22gm baked-not-fried range is available in 36-cases at £2.75, offering POR of 48% for both retailer and wholesaler to share.
