Mr Porky Takes Centre Stage In Red Mill Pork Packaging Revamp

Red Mill Snack Foods has redesigned packaging for its Mr Porky Pork Crackles, Traditional Pork Crunch and Traditional Pork Scratchings, to bring them into line with other products in the popular Mr Porky range.

From early March the company will be retiring the 'red car' image which has up until now adorned its Pork Crackles packaging, replacing it with the distinctive Mr Porky butcher character which is now central to all products within the range.

Packaging for the firm's niche Traditional Pork Scratchings and Traditional Pork Crunch products is also being given a revamp to feature the distinctive cartoon-style character for the very first time.

“Brand recognition for the Mr Porky character is extremely strong and it is important that all packs are consistent and easily recognisable to consumers as part of the Mr Porky product portfolio,” comments Red Mill commercial director, Nick Ripley.

The Mr Porky brand has enjoyed sustained popularity over the last thirty years and has recently enjoyed a new lease of life with those following a low carbohydrate diet, resulting in a significant increase in sales over the last 18 months.
