Children's Favourite Fun Snacks Get Serious

Red Mill Snack Foods is relaunching its kids' Fun Snacks range with a few new additions. As well as the new Spicy Spaceballs flavour, the Fun Snacks range will also now include information on their salt and calorific content on the packs.

Red Mill believes that this move will give kids and parents alike good reason for choosing Krunchie Sticks, Tangy Toms, Petrified Prawns, Quarter Backs, Onion Rings, Oinks, Cheesy Nibbles and Spicy Space Balls, as Managing Director James McKinney explains:

"Our Fun Snacks range is now just about the best on the market. They've always been a kids' favourite because of the combination of great taste, generous portions and a price of only 10p. They're also a popular choice with parents as they're baked not fried, which means they're much healthier. Now we're adding even more for both sides with the fantastic new Spicy Spaceballs flavour and funky new packets, all of which will now show that there's under 1g of salt and under 100 calories in each bag.

"The characters on each bag really add something to the experience. We've got squirrels, tomatoes, prawns, sportsmen, onions, pigs, mice and now astronauts on our packs. Red Mill is trying to inject a bit of character into the kids' snacking market, but we're also very conscious of the effect too many snacks can have on children's health. With our new bag design that has the ingredients of fun and facts, I think we're showing others the way to go."
