| July 2006 Great Taste, No Porkies Red Mill Snack Foods is preparing for a major shake up of its iconic Mr Porky brand, the UK’s best selling pork scratchings and a firm favourite among pub goers. From this autumn there will be a striking new look for all Mr Porky packaging. Red Mill is also introducing two completely new lines and improving recipes for current Porky products. Sarah Nunn, Red Mill’s marketing manager, said: “Scratchings and beer go hand in hand and are a must for pubs which are serious about snacking. “We have been profiling the typical person eating Mr Porky and used this insight to shape our redevelopment of the brand. The new range is designed to improve taste and choice for consumers and boost profit potential for landlords.” Red Mill is already targeting the licensed trade with its new Mr Porky strapline ‘Great Taste, No Porkies’, which it says neatly sums up the product offering and suits the culture of most local pubs. |
